Jo Thorogood is a moderator and ideation facilitator with Insight to Action.
She has in-depth expertise in many forms of qualitative research, including ethnographies, shop-alongs, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and online panels. She also runs ideation and co-creation sessions to help clients develop creative solutions.
Her work has spanned a wide variety of industries, from Fortune 100 companies to startups and non-profits. She has worked with some major brands in the health and beverage arena, including projects in dietary supplements, weight loss, skincare, and various beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic)
Previous work experience includes positions at The Cambridge Group, Gemini Consulting, Accenture, Booz. Allen & Hamilton, and Philips. Global in her outlook, she has lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Finland and the USA.
Jo enjoys inspiring the next generation and runs workshops on Ideation for colleges and their alumni (e.g., Kellogg/Northwestern, NYU Stern, Harvey Mudd/Pomona/Claremont Colleges, Vassar College).
Jo has an M.B.A from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) from Bath University in the United Kingdom. She also a certificate in Design Thinking and is a Synectics trained facilitator.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys running trails with her dog, and biking.
