George Chivari is an independent board member and senior advisor at Insight to Action.
George brings considerable food and protein based experience in foodservice and foodmanufacturing. Recent roles include CEO of Preferred Meal Systems, Inc., a company that provides component meal program services for public, private, and charter schools in the United States. Prior to joining Preferred Meal Systems, George was Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Quantum Foods LLC, one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced providers of portion-controlled steaks and multiple proteins. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coleman Natural Foods LLC, the leading United States processor, marketer and distributor of fresh and further prepared natural and organic proteins.
During his career he has held various executive positions with Sara Lee and other leading food companies including General Foods and Oscar Mayer.
Mr. Chivari earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. He resides in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
